About
軆 is an archaic variant of 體 (tǐ), meaning the human body, physical form, or system. It combines the semantic radical 車 (chē, cart) on the left with the phonetic component 豊 (lǐ, ritual vessel) on the right. This construction metaphorically frames the body as a vehicle or framework that carries the self. The standard traditional form 體 uses the bone radical 骨 (gǔ) to reference anatomy more directly, while the simplified 体 employs the human radical 亻 (rén) with 本 (běn) to express the body as a person's root.
