The character 迏 combines the movement radical 辶 with the component 大, historically serving as a non-standard shorthand variant of the complex character 達. The radical suggests movement, travel, or progress; 大 is purely phonetic. Consequently, it carries the same meanings as 達: arrival, clear expression, accomplishment, or profound understanding. Because this structure is a drastically simplified phonetic borrowing without orthodox etymological development, it was primarily used in informal, rapid handwriting before scripts universally adopted standard forms for "reaching" or "attaining".
